As a Baker, you will be enthusiastic about producing high-quality baked goods and desserts. Our ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of delivering expertly crafted baked items through a welcoming café experience that brings joy to everyone.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and fry pastries, applying toppings and decorations as needed.
  • Oversee kitchen operations and production processes.
  • Execute baking recipes and create a variety of desserts.
  • Manage oven operations, including checking dough conditions.
  • Gather and prepare all necessary materials and ingredients.
  • Handle the scaling and shaping of breads, loaves, and pastries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and adhere to sanitization protocols in the work area and kitchen.
  • Possess a general understanding of production methods and the organization of bread-making.
  • Prioritize and complete all assigned tasks for daily baking.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic workplace for all team members and customers.
  • Receive, stock, and organize food supplies in designated storage areas.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions and manage inventory levels.
  • Complete production, usage, and waste reports as required.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Understanding of food production processes, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and nutrition guidelines.
  • Preferred background in Confectionery or Food Sciences.
  • Food Handler's Certificate is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team setting.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capability to prioritize and handle various responsibilities.
  • Willingness to receive and act on feedback for continuous improvement.
  • High emotional intelligence to work with diverse teams empathetically.
