As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and their families, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors in a polite and prompt manner, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist patients with their needs, answering questions and helping with requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Accurately complete the registration process, entering patient information into our RIS system and verifying discrepancies with patients, clinics, or insurance companies as needed.
- Review or complete exam questionnaires with patients as required, ensuring all necessary information is collected.
- Scan relevant information to patient charts in RIS, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Check in and out patients, collect payments, and complete paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
- Anticipate and provide assistance to patients with mobility issues or difficulty completing forms.
- Document pertinent information in patient charts in RIS, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- 1 year of medical terminology experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- 1 year of computer skills experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Service Excellence: Provide exceptional customer service, communicating in a way that conveys sympathy and respect to a diverse patient and work population.
- Communication: Rephrase and summarize information, speaking and writing clearly, concisely, and to the point.
- Commitment: Demonstrate initiative in completing daily assignments, persevering when faced with challenges.
- Flexibility: Adapt quickly to new techniques and work methods, handling multiple priorities successfully.
- Problem-Solving: Recognize and communicate problems to the right person or system, offering constructive ideas and suggestions for solving problems.
- Team Player: Collaborate effectively with people at all levels, sharing new information and showing flexibility in accommodating the needs of others.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must speak Korean or Chinese.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, internet software, RIS, and PACS.
Education/Experience- High school diploma.
- 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- 1 year of medical terminology experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
