Job Overview

Position Summary: The role involves overseeing and coordinating the comprehensive production timeline to align with departmental and sales goals. This position necessitates expertise in production workflows, scheduling, and data analysis. The Planning Clerk plays a crucial role in supporting the planning, initiation, monitoring, rescheduling, updating, and closure of work orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and distribute Job Orders to the production floor, ensuring all components of the job package are included.
  • Compile and organize the job packet, which consists of the job header, routing documents, pick lists, travelers, and any supplementary paperwork required for production staff.
  • Develop and sustain the master schedule to determine the sequence and lead time for each task to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Process and fulfill Transfer Orders from various departments.
  • Maintain effective communication with Production and Shipping Departments to guarantee timely product dispatch.
  • Inform management about the progress of work, material availability, and any potential production challenges to ensure necessary resources are available.
  • Conduct daily assessments of progress and collaborate with department supervisors to evaluate the status of assigned job orders.
  • Create, revise, and manage Item masters.
  • Review and address exception messages on a daily basis.
  • Perform additional related tasks as directed by management.
  • Employees are required to communicate in English during emergencies and while performing tasks that may involve emergencies.
  • Non-field-related roles necessitate in-office work five days a week at the designated branch office.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare specialized reports as necessary.
  • Maintain organized files and records.
  • Commit to an Injury-Free Environment by actively engaging in company safety initiatives.
  • Adhere to all aspects of the corporate environmental, health, and safety program.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Infor Syteline, MRP systems).
  • Strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and production planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to analyze production data and formulate solutions.
  • Adept at collaborating within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Familiarity with Kaizen Continuous Improvement principles.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a Production Control or Production Planning role.

Compensation: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
