Job Description

Overview: The role involves the organization and maintenance of the comprehensive production schedule to align with the objectives of the division and sales. This position necessitates a solid understanding of production processes, planning, scheduling, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and issue Job Orders to the production floor, ensuring all components of the job package are included.
  • Compile and prepare the job packet, which includes the job header, routers, pick lists, travelers, and any additional necessary documentation for production staff.
  • Develop and sustain the master schedule to determine the sequence and lead time for each operation to meet delivery timelines.
  • Process and fulfill Transfer Orders from various departments.
  • Maintain effective communication with Production and Shipping Departments to guarantee timely product dispatch.
  • Inform management regarding the status of ongoing work, material availability, and potential production challenges to ensure the necessary resources are available.
  • Conduct daily progress assessments and collaborate with department supervisors to ascertain the status of job orders.
  • Create, update, and manage Item masters.
  • Review and address exception messages on a daily basis.
  • Perform additional related tasks as directed by management.
  • Employees are required to communicate in English during emergencies and while executing job duties that may pose a risk.
  • Non-field-related roles necessitate in-office work five days a week at the designated branch office.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare special reports as required.
  • Maintain accurate files and records.
  • Commit to an Injury-Free Environment by actively engaging in safety programs.
  • Adhere to all aspects of the corporate environmental, health, and safety policies.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Infor Syteline, MRP systems).
  • Highly organized with strong time-management abilities and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and production planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept at analyzing production data and formulating solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Capability to prioritize multiple projects efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Kaizen Continuous Improvement principles.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a Production Control or Production Planning role.

Compensation: $23.00-$25.00/HR

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm
