Job Description

Overview: The role of the Planner is crucial in orchestrating and sustaining the comprehensive production schedule to align with the organizational and sales goals. This position demands expertise in production workflows, strategic planning, scheduling, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and distribute Job Orders to the production floor, ensuring all components of the job package are included.
  • Compile and prepare the job packet, which consists of the job header, routing documents, pick lists, travel documents, and any additional necessary paperwork for production staff.
  • Develop and manage the master schedule to determine the sequence and lead time for each operation to meet delivery timelines.
  • Process and fulfill Transfer Orders from various departments within the organization.
  • Maintain effective communication with Production and Shipping Departments to guarantee timely product dispatch.
  • Inform management about the status of ongoing work, material availability, and any potential production challenges to ensure that resources are allocated appropriately.
  • Conduct daily assessments of progress and collaborate with department supervisors to ascertain the status of job orders.
  • Create, update, and oversee Item masters.
  • Review and address exception messages on a daily basis.
  • Perform additional related tasks as directed by management.
  • Employees are required to communicate in English during emergencies and while performing duties that may pose a risk. This rule does not apply to casual conversations when not engaged in work tasks.
  • Positions not related to fieldwork necessitate in-office attendance five days a week at the designated branch.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare specialized reports as required.
  • Maintain organized files and records.
  • Exhibit commitment to a safe work environment by actively participating in safety initiatives.
  • Adhere to all elements of the corporate environmental, health, and safety policies.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Infor Syteline, MRP systems).
  • Highly organized with exceptional time-management abilities and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and production planning.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to analyze production data and devise effective solutions.
  • Able to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Skilled in prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with Kaizen Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a Production Control or Production Planning role.

Compensation: $23.00-$25.00/HR

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm
