About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Client Relationship Specialist to join our team at American Bank. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional service and support to internal partners and external clients
  • Coordinate and manage all facets of the lending process, including gathering financial and legal information, preparing loan reports, and reviewing internal documentation
  • Prepare loan memos for circulation to bank officers and gather, organize, and maintain financial and legal documentation to ensure compliance with bank regulations
  • Coordinate with law offices, title companies, appraisers, and surveyors to gather and organize documents needed to close loan transactions
  • Authenticate customer identity and authorization to act on behalf of the account, review work for accuracy and completeness, and assist others in resolving issues
  • Provide support to all assigned areas of the department, act as backup for loan department positions and functions, and assist loan officers in managing loan pipeline by requesting/gathering information and clearing loan exceptions
  • Coordinate the signing of documents with clients, funding of loan, or any other assistance, manage and set up forms and agreements for loan payments, and ensure accuracy and proper use of tracking for key information such as Flood Insurance, Property Tax Insurance, UCCs, etc.
  • Maintain an active knowledge base of the bank's loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required, perform official notary services as required, and follow policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Superior service skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple files or tasks at a time and in different stages, experience with loan banking systems including CRM (customer relationship management tool), and ability to meet deadlines and follow directions in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed, proficient typing and PC skills with word processing and spreadsheet applications, and knowledge of loan documentation
  • Intermediate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other bank operational policies, and intermediate experience, knowledge, and training in branch operation activities, terminology, and products and services relating to retail and commercial accounts
Qualifications
  • Three years of experience working in the banking environment with two years of experience working with loan documentation
  • Pay Grade 8: 1-5 years' experience, Pay Grade 9: 5+ experience with at expectation or above performance
  • High school graduate or equivalent required, college level business or related banking courses preferred, and Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
