Job Title: Client Relationship Specialist

At American Bank, we're committed to building strong relationships with our clients and delivering exceptional service. As a Client Relationship Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our commercial lending officers by coordinating and managing all facets of the lending process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional service and support to internal partners and external clients
  • Assist in gathering financial and legal information necessary to underwrite loan requests, prepare and review loan reports, and internal documentation
  • Prepare loan memos for circulation to bank officers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and legal documentation to ensure compliance with bank regulations
  • Coordinate with external parties, such as law offices, title companies, appraisers, and surveyors, to gather and organize necessary documents for loan transactions
  • Verify customer identity and authorization to act on behalf of the account
  • Review work for accuracy and completeness, assist in resolving issues, and approve transactions within authority levels
  • Provide support to all assigned areas of the department, act as backup for loan department positions, and train others in department operations
  • Assist loan officers in managing the loan pipeline by requesting/gathering information and clearing loan exceptions
  • Coordinate the signing of documents with clients, funding of loans, and other assistance
  • Manage and set up forms and agreements for loan payments
  • Ensure accuracy and proper use of tracking for key information, such as Flood Insurance, Property Tax Insurance, UCCs, etc.
  • Maintain an active knowledge base of the bank's loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required
  • Perform official notary services as required
  • Follow policies and procedures, complete administrative tasks correctly and on time, and support the bank's goals and values
Requirements:
  • Superior service skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple files or tasks at a time and in different stages
  • Experience with loan banking systems, including CRM (customer relationship management tool)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow directions in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed
  • Proficient typing and PC skills with word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Knowledge of loan documentation
  • Intermediate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and other bank operational policies
  • Intermediate experience, knowledge, and training in branch operation activities, terminology, and products and services relating to retail and commercial accounts
Experience and Education:
  • Three years of experience working in the banking environment with two years of experience working with loan documentation
  • High school graduate or equivalent required; college-level business or related banking courses preferred, but not required
