Position Overview:
A Customer Sales & Service Consultant (CSSC) plays a crucial role in fostering and sustaining beneficial relationships with clients on behalf of Express Employment Professionals. This position requires taking full ownership of each client interaction and ensuring that their needs are met while aligning with the interests of the organization. The CSSC is a vital member of the sales team, providing essential information to clients regarding products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage customer inquiries to guarantee prompt and thorough resolution of issues. Interactions may occur through various channels including phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Identify and recommend the most advantageous products, prioritizing internal inventory, and utilizing supplier options when necessary to meet client deadlines.
- Proactively monitor open customer orders and pending quotes to ensure timely responses and successful order conversions.
- Communicate any service disruptions, approval requests, and necessary corrective actions to management.
- Balance company policies with customer needs in decision-making processes, ensuring that both the organization and the client benefit.
- Enhance profitability by collaborating with suppliers for additional chargebacks and promoting the most lucrative product offerings. Support pricing strategies and margin enhancement initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Develop product knowledge and expertise to assist clients in making informed product selections and coordinate with suppliers for engineering support to facilitate the sales process.
- Commit to personal development by gaining proficiency in systems, product training, and adopting company initiatives.
- Continuously assess and implement process improvements that enhance the customer experience by utilizing feedback and performance metrics.
Perform essential warehouse tasks including product handling, receiving, and inventory management. Provide emergency and after-hours support as scheduled. - Offer support to colleagues within the service center as needed and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience or 1 year in a related position within industrial distribution.
- Valid driver's license is mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrated mechanical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Willingness and capability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
- Proficient computer skills, especially in Excel.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Experience with SAP in a customer service environment.
- Knowledge of industrial products and hydraulics, with the ability to use calipers for measurements.
- Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and a passion for delivering excellent service.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with a friendly demeanor.
- Detail-oriented with strong listening skills and a solid work ethic.
