Role Summary - Youth Engagement Coordinator

The Youth Engagement Coordinator will facilitate and lead troop activities for girls in grades K-12 during virtual, daytime, and after-school programs. This role requires travel to various program sites.

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday (flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all programming.
  • Deliver engaging programming related to STEAM, Financial Literacy, and Life Skills in a structured manner.
  • Utilize a trauma-informed approach and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) tools to effectively assess and support the emotional needs of participants.
  • Collaborate with program volunteers while maintaining primary responsibility for program outcomes.
  • Participate in community events, training sessions, and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records for each site, including attendance and participant information, in accordance with GSCNWI procedures.
  • Build and nurture community partnerships and relationships with school and park personnel.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and model expected behaviors.
  • Support team efforts to achieve GSCNWI membership objectives.
  • Complete brief reports detailing the impact of programs on participants.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; experience in education, psychology, youth development, or program delivery is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 1-3 years of experience in program facilitation for youth, including knowledge of operational procedures and compliance with grant requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in youth development within out-of-school or classroom settings.
  • Highly organized with proven multitasking abilities and the capacity to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
