About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Step Down Unit at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital. As a leader in patient care, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact and advance the practice of nursing.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care for patients in the Cardiovascular Step Down Unit
  • Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care, instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
  • Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
  • Lead the nursing team during designated shifts
Requirements:
  • Florida Registered Nurse licensure in accordance with state regulations or compact licensure
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire/transfer in specified units
  • PALS or ENPC certification within 6 months of hire/transfer in the Emergency Department
  • CPI training within 3 months of hire/transfer for Behavioral Health
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care setting preferred
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
