Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Patient Access, the Patient Registration Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring patients can seamlessly enter the hospital and utilize clinical services. This role involves managing registration, admissions, and bed assignments while safeguarding the hospital's financial interests.
Essential Qualifications
Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: A minimum of one to three years in Registration and Hospital Billing is necessary.
Licensure and Certification: Certification as a Healthcare Access Associate is preferred.
Skills:
- Familiarity with third-party payors.
- Understanding of Medicare billing practices and regulations.
- Experience in insurance verifications.
- Knowledge of insurance billing practices.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various organizational levels.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage detailed confidential information accurately.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
