Job Summary

The Rehabilitation Services Coordinator will serve as a liaison between patients and the Emerson Hospital Rehabilitation Network. This role requires exceptional communication and organizational skills to manage high call volumes, direct patient reception, and facilitate communication between medical and rehabilitation providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary point of contact for patients and families, providing clear and concise information regarding rehabilitation services and programs.
  • Manage patient scheduling, intake, and registration processes to ensure seamless transitions and efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with rehabilitation providers to coordinate care, communicate patient needs, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote a culture of patient-centered care.
  • Requirements
    • Education
      • Associate's degree or medical certification preferred.
      • Exposure to medical terminology preferred.
    • Experience
      • 2-3 years' experience in patient or customer service role.
      • Proven patient/customer service skills with a focus on quality and efficiency.
      • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Outlook.
      • Knowledge of Redock strongly preferred.
    • Licensure and/or Certification
      • Medical terminology preferred.

      • Comfortable in a busy environment.
      • Ability to change job functions from phone to direct patient contact.
