The National Medical Association is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of Deputy Director. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of medical research and development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of the Institute's research programs
- Assist the Director in implementing the Institute's strategic plan and managing daily operations
- Serve as a champion and guarantor of the intellectual and administrative environment at the Institute
- Collaborate with organizations across the nation and worldwide to advance the Institute's mission
- Facilitate the identification and development of current and future leaders
- MD and/or PhD in the biomedical, behavioral, or social sciences
- Significant experience in scientific programs and executive managerial competence
- Broad and substantive knowledge of research programs from within NIH and/or in the research community
- Demonstrated ability in setting, planning, implementing, and analyzing program objectives and priorities
The Deputy Director will be appointed at a salary commensurate with their qualifications and experience. A full federal benefits package, including leave, health insurance, retirement, and savings plan, will be provided.
