Clinical Research Specialist

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Clinician to join the Office of the Clinical Director (OCD) at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). This is an exciting opportunity to engage in clinical research at the NIH Clinical Research Center (CRC) in the areas of genetics, neurology, and endocrinology.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatrics, family medicine, or internal medicine and pediatrics, with subspecialty training in clinical genetics, neurology, or endocrinology. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary research teams to facilitate clinical research, including FDA-regulated drug trials. Areas of research include rare genetic diseases, pediatric, adult, and reproductive endocrinology.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct clinical research in genetics, neurology, and endocrinology
- Work with protocol coordinators, research nurses, and principal investigators to support ongoing clinical research projects
- Develop new clinical research protocols
- Collect, interpret, and publish research data
