Overview

As a Lead Traffic Management Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the Personal Property Shipping Office of the Naval Supply Systems Command.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prioritize work assignments, ensuring efficient completion of tasks.
  • Ensure fairness in evaluating qualifications, selections, training, promotions, and awards for staff.
  • Collaborate with management to create and enforce policies and procedures for counseling, shipment oversight, and vendor relations, enhancing operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain communication with various services and agencies to meet program and mission objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to team members, offering recommendations on complex issues to senior management.
Employment Conditions

Qualifications

Your application must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience in traffic management, equivalent to the GS-09 level or higher. This includes a comprehensive understanding of traffic management policies and leading teams in personal property shipment management.

Examples of relevant experience include:
  • Developing procedures for shipment management and vendor operations.
  • Identifying and resolving complex traffic management issues.
  • Leading a traffic management or transportation team.
  • Providing clear communication and transportation counseling to military and civilian personnel.
Education

In lieu of experience, a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three years of progressively higher-level graduate education may qualify you for this position.
