Position Overview:

Role Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will assist the Finance Director and the Leadership Team in executing the duties of the Finance Department by managing the organization's financial documentation and aiding in the creation of financial statements, budgets, and compliance reports.


Compensation:

The salary for the Senior Financial Analyst position ranges from $60,070 to $91,000.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the formulation and evaluation of financial statements.
  • Engages in various aspects of the accounting cycle, from daily transactions to the generation of financial statements.
  • Prepares and assists in the compilation of entries for assets, liabilities, capital, revenue, and expenses.
  • Analyzes and allocates transactions, generates journal entries, and posts transactions accordingly.
  • Reconciles bank accounts and general ledger entries.
  • Monitors cash flow and investment activities, including the selection of investment opportunities.
  • Handles accounts payable and payroll functions.
  • Maintains precise records of capital expenditures, including depreciation schedules.
  • Produces accurate financial reports, identifies and summarizes discrepancies, and makes necessary adjustments.
  • Participates in the month-end and year-end closing processes in accordance with established timelines.
  • Acts as the primary contact for external auditors, providing all requested documentation promptly and accurately.
  • Conducts accounting tasks in alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the formulation and upkeep of the annual budget.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of payroll operations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of three years of accounting experience, ideally within the healthcare or non-profit sectors.
  • Proficiency in information systems is essential.
  • Previous supervisory experience is required.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is necessary.
  • Proficient in accounting software and possess a working knowledge of Office 2010.
  • Exemplary communication and organizational skills are essential.
