Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mock Trial Assistant Advisor to join our team at Minnetonka Public Schools. The successful candidate will assist the head advisor in leading our Mock Trial team and provide guidance and support to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Assist the head advisor in leading the Mock Trial team, including planning and scheduling activities, and ensuring the team's success.
  • Student Development: Provide guidance and feedback to students to help them improve their presentation skills, legal reasoning, and case theory development.
  • Event Management: Manage and supervise student behavior during activity events, and ensure the smooth execution of events.
  • Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and productive team environment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting, as required.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge and background in Mock Trial, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills, including the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Teamwork: Show a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration, and be able to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable, and able to adjust to changing circumstances and priorities.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and will be required to work independently and as part of a team. The position requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Compensation

Compensation will be in accordance with the Minnetonka Public Schools salary schedule.
