**Job Summary**

Marshall Health is seeking a highly skilled and professional Front Desk Registration Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and ensuring a smooth registration process.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Registration and Scheduling: Greet and register all incoming patients professionally, handling incoming and outgoing communications concisely and in a pleasant manner.
  • Telephone Etiquette: Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, using good telephone etiquette to take complete messages and provide adequate information.
  • Scheduling and Confirmation: Schedule patient appointments for all physicians and confirm appointments one day prior to ensure accuracy.
  • Demographic and Insurance Information: Obtain complete and accurate demographic and insurance information for each patient.
  • Accounting and Collections: Collect on patient accounts and/or co-payments as indicated, maintaining accurate accounting of the petty cash fund daily and adequate change to facilitate payments.
  • Customer Service: Respond to patient inquiries regarding basic insurance or billing questions, or provide a referral to an appropriate staff member.
  • Work Station Maintenance: Restock and maintain assigned work station and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Record Location: Facilitate the location of records, reports, or other significant information or requests by physicians.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

**Requirements:**

  • Education: High school graduate or GED
  • Experience: Six months of work experience in a medical office setting
  • Desirable Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology, word processing, and computer experience
  • Professionalism: Candidates who present themselves in a professional manner, both in person and on the telephone, are preferred.
