Position Overview:
Nemours Children's Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the role of Trauma Research Performance Improvement Coordinator. This position is integral to the operations of a Level I trauma center, focusing on research and performance enhancement activities.

Key Responsibilities:
The Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) / Research Coordinator will work in close collaboration with the Trauma Program Manager, Trauma Medical Director, and Trauma Director. The primary responsibilities include:

  1. Performance Improvement Coordination: Oversee and document trauma performance improvement initiatives, analyze data to pinpoint areas for enhancement, and develop corrective measures to mitigate patient risk.
  2. Policy Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders to formulate and implement policies, procedures, and clinical management guidelines aimed at enhancing clinical outcomes.
  3. Grant Proposal Development: Identify and pursue suitable grant opportunities related to trauma research projects.
  4. Research Collaboration: Assist members of the Trauma Operations Committee, physician investigators, and trauma registry staff in designing, executing, interpreting, and publishing trauma-related research studies.
  5. Research Compliance: Ensure adherence to ACS Standards by coordinating the fulfillment of research requirements, including the publication of trauma-related articles in peer-reviewed journals.
  6. IRB Coordination: Manage IRB submissions for trauma research, ensuring compliance with all related activities.
  7. Research Participation Facilitation: Work with the Director of Nursing Research to promote hospital-wide engagement in trauma-related research initiatives.
  8. Committee Facilitation: Lead trauma research committee meetings.
  9. Injury Prevention Efforts: Engage in initiatives related to trauma registry data for injury prevention.
  10. Data Monitoring: Analyze TQIP data and share findings in appropriate forums.
  11. Data Collection: Assist in gathering data and maintaining trauma databases as mandated by regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:
A Master's Degree is required along with Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Delaware or a compact license. A minimum of five years of relevant experience is essential.
