Role Summary:
Under the guidance of the Soft Count Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Kiosk and Gaming Floor Drop and/or Count, ensuring adherence to all organizational and Tribal regulations. This role involves enforcing departmental policies, supervising the training of new staff, fostering a positive work environment, and executing additional responsibilities as assigned. A comprehensive understanding of Drop and Count Procedures is essential, as the Supervisor will manage the secure handling of the company's financial assets during these processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff to ensure performance exceeds expectations by cultivating a positive work atmosphere and fostering effective employee relations.
- Assist the Manager in ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations governing the Kiosk and Gaming Floor Drop and Count, including Tribal, Federal, State, and Cash Handling protocols.
- Oversee the operations of the drop and count room during assigned shifts, including the upload of necessary files to Revenue Audit in the absence of the Manager.
- Support supervisors in maintaining accurate game asset records within the drop box tracking system.
- Provide recommendations for training, evaluating, rewarding, and applying disciplinary measures to staff.
- Contribute to the implementation of training programs for team members within the department.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and submit work orders for repairs and modifications as needed.
- Assist the Manager in managing supply levels for the drop and count rooms.
- Delegate tasks and monitor staff performance, providing constructive feedback as necessary.
- Complete operational documentation to confirm compliance with accounting procedures and prepare daily reports for the Audit department.
- Maintain awareness of gaming operations and adhere to security policies to protect company assets.
- Review and approve or deny PTO requests and conduct quarterly evaluations for team members.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required, or currently enrolled in a GED program with completion within six months of start date as a condition of continued employment.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Associate's Degree in a related field is required.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience is required, or one (1) year as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a relevant department.
- Two (2) years of experience in the hiring position's department is also acceptable.
- One (1) year of experience in a casino Count Room is required.
- Knowledge of the Cash Operations Manual, Minimum Internal Control, and Tribal Gaming Standards related to the drop and count of electronic gaming machines is essential.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to casino-related environmental factors, including second-hand smoke and excessive noise.
- Must successfully pass a timed math skills assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate currency and coin counting machines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Successful completion of a Guest Services Audition is necessary.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to work in a bent position for extended periods.
- Must be capable of pushing/pulling large Drop Cages weighing up to 1,100 pounds.
- Experience with accurately handling large monetary transactions and related machinery is required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Willingness to travel for training as required.
- Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Must possess or be able to obtain an Occupational License in accordance with the Illinois Gaming Act and maintain good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board.
