Job Overview

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is a key role in ensuring the success of our restaurant operations. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees to achieve maximum operating results, revenue enhancements, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement programs to improve operations, customer service, and cost control
  • Develop and implement customer service training programs
  • Assist in the development and administration of controls for assigned outlets
  • Counsel, guide, train, and instruct assigned personnel
  • Act on customer complaints and take corrective action
  • Oversee personnel changes and recommend action regarding hiring, promotions, demotions, and release of personnel
  • Continually seek new methods and programs to promote the restaurant and the property
  • Read and retain all pertinent information regarding daily promotions, food and beverage specials, property promotions, and scheduled entertainment
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associate's Degree in a related field required
  • Two years' Food and/or Beverage Supervisory experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, team building, and problem-solving skills required
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks at once with minimal direction
  • Ability to compile, compute, and analyze pertinent data needed for reports
  • Ability to work with computer-based time and attendance, and/or client-booking systems, as well as the Micros Point of Sale system
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to forty (40) pounds
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Must successfully pass a job interview, including a guest service audition
  • Must successfully complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service and BASSET training
  • Must successfully complete ServeSafe Sanitation training
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of assigned outlets
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee conflicts
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position
