Position Overview

The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role within the Customer Support Department, tasked with the installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of Makino machinery at client sites. We are in search of dedicated professionals who prioritize customer satisfaction and possess exceptional service skills. This role encompasses travel across multiple states, including Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Western Pennsylvania, with overtime available after 8 hours and a company vehicle provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit client locations to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machinery while offering technical expertise and support.
  • Leverage machine tool manuals, technical documentation, and internal resources to investigate machine issues and devise solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records concerning machine issues, repairs, installations, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Develop and uphold a comprehensive understanding of the machine tool industry and Makino's product offerings.
  • Educate clients on the operational aspects of the machinery.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical repair, maintenance, and programming with a CNC machine tool manufacturer or distributor, or equivalent troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong technical, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
