Job Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the excellence of our products and processes. Your responsibilities will include driving data-informed enhancements and maintaining high standards of quality across various projects.

You will be tasked with developing, implementing, and refining quality assurance protocols, statistical sampling methods, quality plans, and inspection techniques.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and interpret metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize Lean Green Belt methodologies to establish quality indicators and assess process health.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement and address nonconformance proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer quality requirements are effectively communicated and met.
  • Manage risk and apply risk management principles throughout the quality engineering process.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of engineering and manufacturing documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Lead investigations and drive corrective actions for nonconformance issues.
  • Provide training and mentorship on quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in quality engineering, particularly in electrical, mechanical, or electro-optical domains. Candidates with a Graduate Degree and 2 years of experience or those with 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.

Experience in interpreting complex electrical and mechanical drawings, as well as familiarity with problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma and CAPA, is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities are also required.


Preferred Skills:
  • Lean Manufacturing and Green Belt Certification.
  • Experience in Aerospace or Defense Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO9001.
  • Familiarity with complex mechanical inspection techniques and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
