Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, Salary/Exempt position

With over 40 years in the industry, Hi-Tek Manufacturing operates a state-of-the-art 125,000 sq. ft. facility. Located in northern Cincinnati, we are dedicated to exceptional customer service and stringent quality standards, providing a comprehensive range of manufacturing services for the gas turbine and aerospace sectors, serving all major turbine engine OEMs. Hi-Tek sets the benchmark in the industry by delivering highly engineered, complex component manufacturing and assembly through advanced machinery and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support on the manufacturing floor to develop new processes and enhance existing ones.
  • Train and mentor machine operators and machinists while resolving manufacturing challenges.
  • Collaborate with production control to manage routing of legacy components to meet delivery schedules.
  • Conduct tooling layouts and conceptual designs, including datum structures for intended machines.
  • Identify root causes of nonconforming parts and implement corrective actions.
  • Engage in Material Review Board actions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare quotes for projects requiring various processing disciplines.
  • Set up and operate machines or processes to fulfill job specifications.
  • Ensure project completion meets or exceeds cost, schedule, quality, and customer specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints and drawings related to manufacturing engineering responsibilities.
  • Complete first article data to confirm readiness for operator release and provide necessary training.
  • Document and establish standards for engineering changes and improvements.
  • Develop training resources and instructions for setup procedures and machining processes.
  • Engage in discussions with engineers, supervisors, and machinists to resolve process-related issues and enhance productivity.
  • Contribute to the design of complex work-holding fixtures and gauges.
  • Assist the Quality Department in identifying and rectifying programming issues.
  • Conduct time studies and job cost reviews to maintain updated standards.
  • Create and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Adhere to work instructions, safety protocols, and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferably Siemens NX or SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with machine tools and their operational capabilities.
  • Interest in developing automation for machine tools and part handling systems.
  • Experience with complex shapes and their work-holding requirements.
  • Prior experience with super alloy metals is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb stairs multiple times daily.
  • Capable of sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 35 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to handle tools and materials.
