Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, creating Bills of Materials, debugging, and troubleshooting. This role will involve a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer complex mechanical systems and products
  • Develop and maintain technical solutions to complex problems
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians
  • Plan and organize projects to meet deadlines and budget requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and Bills of Materials
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve processes and products
Principal Contacts

This role will involve frequent communication with other engineers, buyers, estimators, manufacturing personnel, vendors, and service technicians. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Competency Requirements
  • Extensive experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D design software
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering, including design, analysis, and testing
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and make decisions with a high level of autonomy
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement technical solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 9+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in design, analysis, and testing
Equipment and Software

This role will utilize a computer with Microsoft Office, as well as various engineering software, including AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D.

Working and Physical Conditions

This role will primarily be based in an office setting, with occasional time spent on the manufacturing floor. Travel may be required on occasion.
