Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain CNC Machines: Set up and operate horizontal and vertical machining centers to produce parts and components that meet customer specifications.
- Inspect and Verify Quality: Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure conformance to customer specifications.
- Analyze and Interpret Technical Documents: Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Perform Deburr Operations: Perform deburr operations to within specified tolerances.
- Maintain Working Knowledge: Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes, and rotary/linear axes.
- Select and Secure Fixtures: Select, align, and secure fixtures, tooling, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
- Run Multiple Machines: Capable of running multiple machines, when assigned.
- Follow Policies and Procedures: Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE.
- Operate Overhead Crane: Operate overhead crane when necessary.
- Report Labor Hours: Report proper labor hours in the ERP system.
- Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment: Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: CNC Mill experience required - Min 1 yr.
- Skills: Ability to perform basic math functions including basic trigonometry, troubleshooting/problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills.
- Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen, or an US Permanent Resident.
- Lifting and Carrying: Lift, push and/or pull 35 pounds regularly.
- Vision Requirements: Specific vision abilities include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (corrected) required with ability to pass annual vision test as required.
- Standing and Walking: Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift.
- Reaching and Grasping: Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping in order to move and set tools, equipment and material.
