Job Overview

Avid Technology Professionals is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist with a robust background in developing, managing, and guiding clients on Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) utilizing MS Project. This role will serve as the primary authority on MS Project and Scheduling, providing leadership and mentorship to clients in the formulation of IMS and the integration of various products within the MS Project Server environment.

Essential Qualifications
  • Proven Expertise: Extensive experience with MS Project and/or MS Project Server.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to engage with senior leaders, development teams, and technical project managers.
  • Quick Learner: Capacity to swiftly grasp and apply concepts related to project scheduling tools.
  • Systems Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of industry principles associated with systems engineering.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Research Proficiency: Ability to conduct thorough research and apply findings effectively.
  • Tool Development: Skill in creating tools, templates, and processes tailored to specific challenges using available applications.
  • Communication Skills: Strong technical writing and communication abilities.
  • Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated individual who identifies issues and initiates discussions and actions independently.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in developing and maintaining program Roadmaps and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Background in constructing baseline schedules.
  • Ability to create and integrate program schedules into an IMS.
  • Skill in capturing and prioritizing requirements and outcomes.
  • Experience in identifying internal and external dependencies.
  • Competence in analyzing portfolio and program schedules, dependencies, issues, and risks.
  • Experience in performing thread analysis.
  • Familiarity with technology integration research (e.g., PowerBI Reporting Application).
  • Capability to provide training to program staff.
  • Prior experience in generating relevant technical documentation for products.
