Columbia, Maryland, United States iNovex Information Systems Full time

Job Overview

Specializing in SIGINT, UAV, and COMINT technologies.

We are seeking experienced Senior Systems Engineers. This initiative aims to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of critical missions both domestically and internationally. If you are prepared to contribute to a high-performing team that genuinely impacts our operations, we invite you to explore this opportunity.

Position Summary:

This is a full-time role requiring a commitment of 1880 hours annually, with responsibilities carried out at a designated client site. As a Senior Sensor Systems Engineer, you will deliver systems engineering, program planning, and mission management support to the SIGINT sensor operations division. Your duties will include drafting Concept of Operations documents, creating task schedules, and developing other essential program documentation for team engineers and integrators. You will also monitor project status and provide program assistance to ensure success throughout the project lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will involve gathering project requirements from stakeholders, conducting technical and programmatic analyses of proposed initiatives, and offering recommendations for alternative solutions and timelines for consideration. Additionally, you will investigate emerging technological advancements and engage with vendors to provide informed recommendations to the government. You will support the transition of legacy systems to a unified sensor and data operations framework, ensuring all system requirements are identified and allocated appropriately. Furthermore, you will maintain awareness of related sensor initiatives across the broader organization, identifying areas for synergy and opportunities for program efficiency.

Finally, you will provide the government client with management, support, and technical assistance concerning project procurement, integration, sustainment, and testing of systems, while also advising on both technical and resource-related matters.

Required Qualifications for Level 6 System Engineer:

Proven ability to navigate technical and organizational challenges to achieve mission objectives. Experience with tactical SIGINT, particularly the application of SIGINT payloads on UAV platforms is highly desirable. Familiarity with program transition and decommissioning planning is preferred. Practical experience in managing both programmatic and technical challenges for multiple ongoing SIGINT projects. Experience collaborating with peer organizations and representing projects to external entities. Ability to effectively advocate for client positions while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders. Experience working with organizations to overcome obstacles and develop shared solutions. Knowledge of System Security Accreditation processes and standards. Experience in hardware/software development, particularly with communication-related systems. Familiarity with collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Strong interpersonal communication skills, self-motivated, and a team-oriented mindset.

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or related discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of 20 years of general systems engineering experience; a Master's degree or PhD in a relevant engineering field or related discipline with a minimum of 18 years of experience; or a high school diploma or GED with at least 24 years of general systems engineering experience. Ability to deconstruct high-level requirements into functional specifications for systems solutions that consider technical, scheduling, and cost constraints. Capability to assist management in the planning, coordination, and deployment of SIGINT systems in collaboration with supported government clients and other governmental departments and agencies. Demonstrated ability to conduct technical planning, systems integration, data verification and validation, data flow analysis, cost and risk assessment, and supportability/effectiveness analysis for newly integrated systems. Knowledgeable about SIGINT sensor systems and SIGINT collection and processing methodologies.

Note: This position requires an active Security Clearance with the appropriate Polygraph.
