Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Level 1

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at CAN Community Health in Sarasota, FL. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our patients, focusing on HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse Level 1 will work under the supervision of a Medical Provider and Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to patients. This includes performing patient triage, assessing vital signs, and documenting patient information in the electronic medical record. The successful candidate will also be responsible for processing medication refills, performing venipuncture, and administering intravenous fluids and medications as ordered by the Medical Provider.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Medical Provider and Registered Nurse
  • Perform patient triage, including assessing vital signs and documenting patient information
  • Process medication refills and administer intravenous fluids and medications as ordered
  • Perform venipuncture and obtain specimens for laboratory testing
  • Document patient care in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Florida
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
