We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and customer service to our members in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to members under the direction of the Manager or Director of Health Services, in accordance with established nursing policies and procedures.
- Administer medications, observe residents for drug effects/interactions, and order medications as needed.
- Coordinate nursing services portion of MDS and Member Care Plans/Discharge Plans with other involved departments.
- Ensure accurate and informative documentation in medical records, including charting of accidents/incidents and notifying physicians.
- Participate in emergency preparedness programs and respond accordingly in emergency situations.
- Assist employees in solving day-to-day questions and problems, and train/orient new employees in all aspects of their positions.
- Graduate from a basic educational program in professional nursing (LPN) and have an active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of one (1) year proven experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in skilled nursing, acute care or assisted living.
- Ability to work with geriatric members and with memory impaired individuals and groups.
- Effective supervisory, communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
