Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Level 1

CAN Community Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Sarasota, FL. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our clients.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse Level 1 will be responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Provider (MD, PA, APRN). This includes administering medications, performing venipuncture, and providing patient education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic nursing care to patients, including vital sign measurements, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Perform venipuncture and obtain blood samples for laboratory testing.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the Medical Provider.
  • Provide patient education on disease management, medication use, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements:
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Florida.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
