Overview:
As a key player in new construction oversight, modification initiatives, and salvage operations, the Hull and Systems Engineer will be instrumental in advancing Chevron's marine projects.

About Chevron:
Chevron Shipping Company seeks exceptional graduates in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or related fields to engage in diverse marine projects. These projects encompass the selection, design, construction, and operational phases of tanker vessels and offshore production facilities within the oil and gas sector. Our engineering and technical support extends to a fleet of approximately 30 trading tankers and LNG carriers, along with various floating offshore oil production ventures globally.

Position Responsibilities:
This role involves collaboration with team members to deliver marine engineering and naval architecture services for Chevron Shipping's LNG carriers, crude oil carriers, product carriers, and floating assets (FPSO, FSO, FLNG, FPUs, etc.).

Program Structure:
This position is part of the Chevron Shipping Horizon Engineering program. The successful candidate will have opportunities to relocate to various locations as required by business needs, with typical rotations lasting between 6 to 18 months over a five-year period. The core rotations will include key operational hubs.

Marine Technical & Projects Rotation:
The Marine Technical & Projects (MTP) group is dedicated to supporting offshore floating oil and gas production/storage facilities. This group provides comprehensive engineering, marine technology, consulting, and management services throughout all project phases from design to operation.

Engineering, Projects, & Alterations Rotation:
The Engineering Projects & Alterations (EP&A) group focuses on oil and gas transportation, offering engineering, consulting, and project management services for Chevron's fleet of oil and LNG tankers.

Required Qualifications:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Naval Architecture and/or Marine Engineering or equivalent.
  • 0 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
Additional Considerations:
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Availability for work outside standard hours may be necessary.
  • Participation in the Chevron Shipping Salvage & Response Team (requires 24/7 on-call duty on a rotational basis).
  • Relocation assistance is available.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment visiting various assets.
Relocation:
Relocation may be considered within Chevron's parameters.

International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered. Chevron is unable to sponsor employment visas or consider individuals on time-limited visa status for this position.
