Position Overview:

This role is pivotal in overseeing new construction initiatives, modification projects, and providing support for salvage operations.

Chevron Shipping Company seeks exceptional graduates in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or closely related fields. Candidates will engage in complex marine projects that encompass concept selection, design, construction, and operational phases of tanker vessels and offshore production facilities within the oil and gas sector.

Role Responsibilities:

The Hull and Systems Engineer will collaborate with team members to deliver marine engineering and naval architecture services for Chevron Shipping Company's fleet, which includes LNG carriers, crude oil carriers, product carriers, and various floating assets such as FPSOs, FSOs, FLNGs, and FPUs.

This position is integral to the Chevron Shipping Horizon Engineering program, requiring relocation to various locations as dictated by business needs. Rotational assignments typically span 6-18 months over a five-year period, with core rotations based in key operational hubs.

Marine Technical & Projects Rotation:

The Marine Technical & Projects (MTP) group supports offshore floating oil and gas production/storage facilities, providing engineering, marine technology, consulting, and management services throughout all project phases from design to operation.

The Hull and Systems Engineer will engage with team members and major capital project stakeholders to offer marine engineering and naval architecture services for floating offshore projects, including FPSOs, spars, TLPs, and semi-submersibles.

Engineering, Projects, & Alterations Rotation:

The Engineering Projects & Alterations (EP&A) group assists in oil and gas transportation, providing engineering, consulting, and project management services for Chevron's fleet of oil and LNG tankers across all project life phases.

Qualifications:

+ B.S. or M.S. in Naval Architecture and/or Marine Engineering or equivalent.

+ 0 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.

Additional Considerations:

+ Domestic and international travel may be necessary.

+ Availability outside standard working hours may be required.

+ Participation in Chevron Shipping's Salvage & Response Team is expected (24/7 on-call rotation).

+ Relocation assistance is provided.

+ Ability to work in an industrial environment and visit operational assets.

Relocation:

Relocation may be accommodated within Chevron's guidelines.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments are not available.
