The Senior Financial Analyst will be pivotal in shaping the company's strategic direction, emphasizing support and leadership in various Corporate Development, Pipeline Development, and Enterprise Risk Management initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Corporate Development & Risk Management, this role will involve assisting in deal sourcing, preliminary evaluations, crafting investment theses, preparing executive presentations, and facilitating Transaction Diligence throughout the acquisition process.

This position also plays a crucial role in supporting MCC INC's comprehensive Insurance & Risk Management strategies, which are vital for the success of a large, multinational manufacturing entity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Development: Aid in identifying and sourcing acquisition targets through detailed analysis of customers, products, markets, technologies, and competitors.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Corporate Development and Business Unit Presidents to create initial financial projections for potential acquisitions.
  • Develop and analyze deal models to ensure alignment with MCC INC's strategic objectives and market opportunities.
  • Coordinate and manage diligence workstreams for active targets, engaging with Finance, Tax, IT, EH&S, Commercial, and Operational teams.
  • Conduct multiple valuation analyses to establish appropriate valuation ranges and recommendations for leadership.
  • Maintain an up-to-date internal repository for all market interactions and confidential information.
  • Assist in preparing executive presentations to secure acquisition approvals from the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
  • Support post-acquisition integration efforts to ensure a seamless transition of initial evaluation documents and investment theses to global business partners.
  • Enhance the global process for identifying acquisition targets and collaborate with local business leaders to build a robust pipeline.

Enterprise Risk Management:

  • Manage relationships with insurance brokers and carriers effectively.
  • Oversee global insurance renewals to minimize MCC INC's overall risk profile and ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering on MCC INC's Global Risk Improvement Program and overall Enterprise Risk posture.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on MCC INC's global insurance program, responding promptly to field inquiries.
  • Review and coordinate policy coverages in alignment with parent company portfolio programs.
  • Update and review all reporting related to insurance programs, claims, and Enterprise Risk.

Qualifications:

  • Strategic thinker capable of managing multiple projects and timelines.
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly identify critical information.
  • Advanced financial acumen to evaluate financial statements and analyze performance for M&A opportunities.
  • Proficient in building complex financial models for various deal scenarios.
  • Ability to independently develop financial projections for Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Strong presentation skills, comfortable articulating and defending assumptions to upper management.
  • Independent worker with a comprehensive understanding of how acquisitions align with broader goals.
  • Proven ability to assess, automate, streamline, and enhance complex processes.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Three to five years of professional experience in FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, transaction services, or mergers and acquisitions.
