The Senior Financial Analyst will be pivotal in shaping the company’s strategic direction, focusing on a variety of Corporate Development, Pipeline Development, and Enterprise Risk Management initiatives.
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Corporate Development & Risk Management, this role involves assisting in deal sourcing, preliminary evaluations, investment strategies, executive presentations, and supporting Transaction Diligence throughout the acquisition process.
This position also plays a crucial role in advancing MCC's Insurance & Risk Management strategies, which are vital for the success of a large, multinational manufacturing entity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Development: Identify and source potential acquisition targets through comprehensive analysis of customers, products, markets, technologies, and competitors.
- Develop initial financial projections for acquisition targets in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Coordinate diligence workstreams across various departments, including Finance, Tax, IT, and Operations.
- Conduct multiple valuation analyses to establish appropriate valuation ranges and recommendations for leadership.
- Assist in preparing executive presentations for acquisition approvals by the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
- Support integration efforts post-acquisition to ensure seamless transitions.
- Enterprise Risk Management: Manage relationships with insurance brokers and carriers, ensuring comprehensive coverage and risk mitigation.
- Review and update reporting on insurance programs and claims.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical thinker capable of managing multiple projects and timelines.
- Advanced financial acumen with the ability to assess financial statements and analyze performance for M&A opportunities.
- Proficient in developing complex financial models and projections.
- Excellent presentation skills, comfortable communicating with upper management.
- Team-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, or related fields.
