Position Summary
The Assistant Vice President of Financial Operations will lead and develop a team dedicated to ensuring the precise and timely execution of monthly reconciliations for General Ledger Balance Sheet accounts across both banking and non-banking entities within Wintrust. This role involves identifying and communicating known financial and operational risks to senior finance management, as well as preparing the department for new initiatives and acquisitions that directly affect Corporate Finance-Reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee departmental operations and assist with the completion of all assigned SOX-related documentation for audit compliance.
- Engage in and prepare the department for the implications of new initiatives and acquisitions.
- Develop and monitor departmental control reports utilized internally and shared with senior management.
- Manage staff, including training, setting departmental objectives, conducting performance evaluations, and making salary and bonus recommendations.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of prior corporate management experience with a solid understanding of banking accounting and finance.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills are required.
