Role Purpose:

The primary aim of this position is to assist the Senior Cybersecurity and Compliance Assessor in executing thorough evaluations, reviews, and validations of security and compliance measures for clients across diverse sectors.

This role will aid in pinpointing security and compliance deficiencies, offering actionable recommendations, and ensuring clients adhere to regulatory mandates and industry benchmarks.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, compliance, or similar fields.
- Experience in conducting security and compliance evaluations, preferably in sectors such as healthcare, finance, or retail.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including HIPAA, PCI DSS, NIST, CMMC, and CIS.
- Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with compliance management tools, vulnerability assessment tools, and documentation platforms.

Preferred certifications include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent. Additional certifications such as QSA, AQSA, PCIP, or relevant industry certifications are highly desirable.

- Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and industry standards.
- Proficient in conducting risk assessments, gap analyses, and compliance evaluations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to validate evidence against regulatory standards.
- Project management skills to ensure projects are on schedule, within budget, and meeting client expectations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and independently when required.
- Familiarity with tools such as vulnerability scanners, compliance management software, and documentation platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Cybersecurity and Compliance Assessor in performing security and compliance evaluations for clients.
- Review documentation, validate evidence, and identify security and compliance gaps.
- Engage in client meetings, take comprehensive notes, and ask pertinent questions to gather necessary information.
- Support the creation of assessment reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans.
- Collaborate with clients to address security and compliance issues, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Work with internal teams to enhance assessment methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes, emerging threats, and industry trends.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the organization's cybersecurity and compliance practices.
