Position Overview

The Financial Research Analyst will oversee the post-award management for several active Principal Investigators within the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. This role encompasses both analytical and transactional responsibilities across all facets of post-award administration.

Key Responsibilities

- Utilize expertise as a seasoned research administrator to independently manage and/or supervise research proposals, awards, and transactions related to grant and contract management.
- Ensure compliance with institutional research sponsor policies while maintaining accurate records of contracts and grants.
- Analyze complex data sets that require a comprehensive understanding of intricate regulations.
- Complete and authorize transactions for managerial or institutional official signatures.
- Collaborate on multifaceted proposals and awards that may involve various investigators and sub-awards.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members in their professional development.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $81,000 - $121,600 annually. Your placement within this range will depend on various factors, including your professional experience and internal equity within this classification at the University.

Qualifications

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

- Proficient in spreadsheet and database software for financial management and reporting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a focus on customer service.

Preferred:
- In-depth knowledge of research administration guidelines from Federal and non-Federal sponsors.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements related to human or animal subjects in research.
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and grant funding processes.
