Position Summary

As a Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the understanding of how various processes impact the materials utilized in high-volume electronics production. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading initiatives to analyze and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Introducing new testing protocols, methodologies, and instruments.
  • Overseeing the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of team members.
  • Ensuring that standard operating procedures are established, maintained, and adhered to, while upholding safety standards in the laboratory environment.
  • Collaborating across departments to identify and resolve quality and reliability issues.
  • Managing timelines for laboratory calibration and testing activities to align with business objectives.
  • Diagnosing equipment malfunctions and recommending necessary maintenance or engineering enhancements.
  • Engaging in Root Cause Investigations (RCI) and implementing corrective measures as required.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in analytical techniques, sample preparation, and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with analytical instruments such as SEM/EDXRFS, FTIR, TGA, DSC, and surface analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software including Minitab, SQC Pack, and JMP.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
  • An understanding of electronic components and devices is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills.
