About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) team at Raytheon Technologies. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in promoting and executing quality practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration to support U.S. and/or foreign programs within our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Quality Point of Contact (POC) for Radar Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), interfacing with program quality teams, programs, and customers to support technical quality and financial performance.
  • Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
  • Manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders to ensure the success of the role.
  • Responsible for the quality of delivered products and services to our customers, stakeholders of quality risks, uncertainties, and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will closely affect the programs' implementation and influence.
  • Improve processes or systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills.
  • Assure inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget.
  • Monitor and lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Generate new Cost of Quality (CoQ), CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence), CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs on the program.
  • Support issue resolutions and solutions to production and Radar execution.
  • Experience in MRB (Material Review Board) disposition for variances to waive or deviate to requirements including RCCA and technical rationale.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years engineering experience.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).
  • Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
  • Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management process.
  • Experience in other functional area such as engineering, supplier engineering, or operations.
  • Experience establishing cost estimates and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
  • Effective verbal and written communication and networking skills to work with upper management and customers.
  • Hands-on experience in solving both business and technical problems.
  • Passionate, high-energy, self-starting team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Meaningful leader that exhibits presence and influence.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of contract flow and compliance.
