We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Air & Missile Defense Software Department, contributing to the development of innovative software solutions that enhance system capabilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Analysis: Thoroughly review and interpret software requirements to ensure they are clear and testable.
  • Test Objective Development: Formulate precise and actionable test objectives that direct the testing efforts and guarantee comprehensive assessment.
  • Test Case Design: Craft effective and innovative test cases, both manual and automated, based on established test objectives.
  • Test Execution: Perform extensive testing of newly developed and modified software within our on-site laboratory.
  • Data Evaluation: Analyze test outcomes against specified requirements and meticulously document any inconsistencies.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with fellow test engineers and software developers to ensure smooth integration and functionality of software products.
  • Onsite Engagement: This position necessitates a physical presence and active collaboration with various teams, including Systems Design engineering and Software Development.
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be necessary.
  • Flexible Hours: Participation in off-hours testing (2nd or 3rd shift) may be required on occasion.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in Software Engineering.
  • Background in Validation, Verification, Requirements Analysis, and/or Testing.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is mandatory. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Prior experience with Patriot software is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Raytheon’s software development processes is beneficial.
  • Exceptional attention to detail for identifying and documenting software performance anomalies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to effectively diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Proficiency in various testing tools and methodologies. Knowledge of scripting and automation tools is a plus. Familiarity with DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System) is an added advantage.
