Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-focused business development professional to join our team. As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities across multiple "hard tech" industries, including Aero & Defense, Cleantech, Health, Industrial Equipment, Lifestyle, and Mobility.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct market research to identify potential contract manufacturing clients, starting in the local region.
  2. Leverage various channels to generate leads and build a strong pipeline of potential clients.
  3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and collaborators at client organizations.
  4. Conduct thorough needs analysis and understand the technical requirements of clients' complex systems.
  5. Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  6. Collaborate with the legal team to negotiate and finalize contracts.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
  8. Partner with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  9. Work closely with marketing teams to promote awareness of our capabilities.
  10. Leverage CRM tools to develop and maintain complete and accurate information regarding your sales pipeline.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 15 years of proven experience in business development or technical sales.
  • BS degree in an engineering or technical field; advanced technical degree and/or MBA preferred.
  • Deep understanding of emerging manufacturing technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth and closing complex deals.
  • Well-established active network within relevant industries.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective strategies.
  • Collaborative and adept at working in cross-functional teams.
Location

The job is located in New Kensington, PA, or in close proximity.
