A prominent player in the national packaging sector is seeking a skilled Financial Operations Manager to enhance our financial oversight.

About the Role:

This pivotal position demands a detail-oriented and analytical professional who will be instrumental in steering financial strategies within a manufacturing context.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise financial activities at the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  2. Initiate cost-saving measures and pinpoint areas for operational enhancements.
  3. Oversee capital expenditures to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  4. Generate comprehensive financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, providing in-depth analysis of budget variances.
  5. Guarantee the accuracy and reliability of the plant's General Ledger.
  6. Manage inventory processes, focusing on tracking, valuation, and turnover to maximize working capital.
  7. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to analyze cost factors and production discrepancies.
  8. Work alongside various departments to establish and uphold financial best practices.
  9. Ensure adherence to all regulatory and accounting standards.
  10. Offer financial insights and support to management for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; an MBA or CPA is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years in a comparable role within the manufacturing or construction sectors.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in capital expenditures, monthly reporting, cost management, and inventory oversight.
  4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  5. Exceptional analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at conveying complex financial data clearly.
  7. Proven leadership abilities to drive change and influence key decisions.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  9. Familiarity with financial software systems is advantageous.
