Position Overview

A prominent national Packaging Manufacturer is seeking a Financial Controller to enhance our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the financial activities of the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Manage capital expenditures to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insightful analysis of variances.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the plant's General Ledger.
  • Manage inventory effectively, focusing on tracking, valuation, and turnover to optimize working capital.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing operations to analyze cost drivers and production variances.
  • Work with various departments to establish and implement financial best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements and accounting standards.
  • Provide financial insights and support to plant management for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or CPA is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or construction sector.
  • Proven expertise in capital expenditures, monthly reporting, cost reduction, process improvement, and inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills; experience with financial software systems is a plus.
