Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in delivering financial, administrative, and clerical support within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily cash analysis and manage accounts payable transactions to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Oversee and reconcile subsidiary ledgers to guarantee accurate balances in the general ledger; analyze data and adjust journal entries as necessary.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial balance sheet accounts and bank reconciliations to ensure proper documentation.
  • Execute the month-end closing process by adhering to internal protocols, including accruals, journal entries, and the resolution of suspense and clearing accounts.
  • Administer corporate credit cards and manage the reconciliation process in line with company spending policies.
  • Prepare checks and maintain precise records of vendor payments.
  • Handle the preparation of personal property tax returns, business licenses, and annual reports.
  • Manage the issuance and reporting of W-9s, 1099s, and other annual government forms.
  • Monitor tax obligations and ensure timely payments in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Supervise the fixed asset accounting system for the processing and recording of both tangible and intangible assets.
  • Provide backup support for the Payroll team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of general financial accounting principles.
  • Experience with accruals and amortization of prepaid expenses.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficient in accounting software applications.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines independently.
  • Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing high-impact tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
