Responsibilities:
More about the role

• Welcome and greet patients upon their arrival to create a positive first impression of our team.

• Manage front office responsibilities, including answering phones, handling office correspondence, and communicating with patients and insurance providers.

• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record management.

• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers within the office.

• Process patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims, verifying benefits and explaining coverage options.

• Post insurance and patient payments, managing accounts receivable.

• Discuss treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.

• Collaborate with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems to maximize office efficiency.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.


This position will require access to the minimum necessary PHI for job-related functions; regular HIPAA training will be provided, and the individual must safeguard PHI and maintain data protection protocols.

Preferred Experience:

• 1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting.

• 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable.

• Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental software.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

• Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year.
