We are currently seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Custodial Team Leader at a prominent venue.



SUMMARY

The Custodial Team Leaders are tasked with overseeing teams engaged in cleaning operations throughout the venue during various events, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all attendees and staff.

The incumbent will also be responsible for training, delegating, and supervising the tasks assigned to cleaning personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in briefings to gather essential information related to upcoming events.
Assist in the management of third-party cleaning staff, including the distribution and collection of uniforms and equipment.

Distribute and collect cleaning checklists from staff after events, organizing them for the Custodial Manager.

Alert the Custodial Manager to any immediate staffing issues.
Assist in assigning roles and breaks at the beginning of each shift.

Guide teams in cleaning designated areas, ensuring adherence to the venue's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and confirming that cleaning duties are fulfilled from ceiling to floor.

Respond to urgent cleaning requests to ensure they are addressed promptly and effectively.
Prepare and inspect the venue before and after each shift, ensuring all equipment is returned to its designated location, storage areas are organized and stocked, lights are turned off, and cleaning carts are ready for the next event, with all machines


including vacuums and scrubbers emptied, cleaned, and charged as necessary for the next shift or event.


Maintain open lines of communication with cleaning staff and management to ensure awareness of ongoing activities or issues requiring immediate attention.

Report any safety concerns or hazards to the Custodial Manager without delay.
Address any issues related to staff or third-party personnel.
Collaborate closely with other team leaders during events or shifts to ensure seamless operations.
Assist in the training of new hires and facilitate quarterly training sessions for staff.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Must be available to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends,

and holidays.

Must be able to comprehend verbal and written instructions.

Must possess a thorough understanding of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including PPE protocols, emergency cleaning scenarios, general surface cleaning, restroom sanitation, locker room maintenance, touchpoint disinfection, and laundry processes.

Must be knowledgeable about the cleaning chemicals utilized, their appropriate application, and dwell times.
Must be people-oriented, a team builder, and a collaborative team player. Must be capable of interacting professionally with all levels of staff, guests, clients, and VIPs.
Must be able to work effectively in both team settings and independently.
Must be proficient in operating various cleaning equipment.
Must maintain a professional appearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent walking, including navigating stairs, escalators, carpeted areas, and concrete surfaces.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Ability to maneuver through large crowds swiftly when responding to urgent requests.
