Clinical Trials Office Recruiter

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Trials Office Recruiter to join our team at the Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for our Clinical Trials Office positions.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruitment and human resources, with a proven track record of building and maintaining trusted relationships in a complex environment. You will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting top talent, developing robust recruitment strategies, and providing analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the team.
Responsibilities
- Develop effective recruitment strategies by taking a consultative approach with hiring teams
- Utilize innovative sourcing techniques to find, connect, and recruit top talent
- Partner with hiring managers and HR to produce quality job specifications and descriptions
- Design a proactive approach to reaching passive candidates and develop strategies to attract them
- Post robust job ads on institution sites, social media channels, and relevant professional sites and job boards
- Cultivate a network of potential candidates through proactive market research, events, and ongoing relationship management
- Manage resume, cover letter, and application evaluation processes
- Conduct phone screens to deliver the best-qualified candidates to meet the institution's needs
- Plan, facilitate, and serve as the point of contact for key meetings, interviews, and campus visits
- Maintain a solid understanding of industry trends and provide insight into the competitive landscape
- Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
- Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, psychology, communications, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of senior-level experience in recruitment and human resources
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and source diverse passive talent
- Ability to create robust recruitment strategies
- Strong knowledge of interview techniques and effective resume evaluation methods
- Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, and communication skills
- Ability to create presentations and reports
- Exceptional time-management, attention-to-detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Execute on individual assignments and projects independently and/or collaboratively as part of a high-performing team
- Ability to sell the organization to candidates
- Excellent judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive issues and information
- Ability to project a knowledgeable and professional image to clients, candidates, and colleagues
- Technically savvy with experience with HR databases, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office suite
- Proven ability to work in an environment with high visibility and the ability to manage complex and sensitive situations independently
- Track record of flawless execution and a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrated experience fostering a diverse and inclusive environment and an expressed commitment to do so while at VCU
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced recruiting techniques experience and strong executive-level facilitation skills
- SHRM Certified
