Position Overview

As a Clinical Dietitian II, you will play a vital role in evaluating the nutritional needs of patients, utilizing established assessment tools to ensure optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will be essential in guiding patients, their families, and caregivers in developing tailored nutrition plans that promote health and recovery.

Your daily responsibilities will include working with patients experiencing high acuity conditions, such as pediatric, bariatric, and ICU cases, necessitating advanced skills in nutrition therapy. You will conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments that consider age, gender, and cultural backgrounds, while also identifying patients at nutritional risk through routine screenings. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team will be key to delivering exceptional care, alongside a commitment to providing outstanding service to all stakeholders.

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to enhance your professional skills by mentoring Clinical Dietitian I's, fostering their development in core departmental responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate individualized intervention plans that specify the appropriate feeding methods and nutrition prescriptions tailored to each patient's unique requirements, in alignment with physician directives.
  • Continuously monitor and assess patient responses to nutritional interventions, ensuring that measurable goals are documented accurately and promptly in the medical records.
  • Revise care plans as necessary and maintain follow-up with patients to ensure ongoing support.
  • Engage in administrative functions, managing resources efficiently and participating in quality improvement initiatives to guarantee safe and effective nutrition care.
  • Work collaboratively with the Food and Nutrition Services team to enhance the overall patient experience.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an acute hospital setting, working with patients in complex care environments.
  • Bachelor's Degree with completion of an accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics).
  • Registered Dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • State licensure as a Dietitian in the following states: Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Tennessee, Ohio.
