As a Clinical Dietitian II, you will play a crucial role in evaluating the nutritional needs of our patients. Utilizing established assessment tools, you will provide expert recommendations and guidance to patients, their families, and caregivers, ensuring they receive tailored nutrition plans aimed at improving health and quality of life.
Your daily responsibilities will involve working with patients who have complex medical needs, including pediatric, bariatric, and ICU populations. You will conduct thorough nutritional assessments that consider various factors such as age, gender, and cultural backgrounds. Additionally, you will perform routine screenings to identify individuals at nutritional risk and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to elevate your professional skills by mentoring Clinical Dietitian I's, guiding them in the essential practices and responsibilities of our department.

Key Responsibilities- Formulate individualized intervention plans that detail the appropriate feeding routes, methods, and nutrition prescriptions tailored to each patient's unique requirements, in alignment with physician directives.
- Continuously monitor and assess patient responses to nutritional interventions, ensuring that measurable goals are documented accurately and promptly in the medical records.
- Revise care plans as necessary and provide follow-up support to patients as needed.
- Engage in operational tasks, including resource management in a cost-effective manner, and participate in compliance and quality improvement initiatives to guarantee safe and effective nutrition care.
- Work collaboratively with the Food and Nutrition Services team to enhance the overall patient experience.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an acute hospital setting, specifically with patients requiring complex care.
- A Bachelor's Degree with completion of an accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics).
- Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- State licensure as a Dietitian in the following states: Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Tennessee, Ohio.
